Communication:
Parents are welcome to visit the school at any time during the year to provide or receive information about their child. Please make an appointment through the Principal or School Office. Class programmes must not be interrupted by "pop-in" visits.
If you have a message, or something to deliver (eg. lunch) please call in at the office. Please do not go directly to the classroom.
Classrooms are busy places and unexpected visitors can cause lost teaching time.
Complaints By Parents:
In the first instance, parents, who may have any complaints regarding any school matter, should contact the Principal. Teachers should not be subjected to complaints from parents, particularly during school hours. It is part of the Principal's duties to handle these matters and maximum co-operation will result if parents work through the proper channels. If the dispute cannot be settled between the parent, teacher/Principal then the parent may write to the Board of Trustees Chairperson.
Wet Day Policy:
There are NO shortened days even if the weather is wet.
School finishes at 2:45 pm EVERY DAY.

Parent Involvement:
We welcome parent involvement in our school, and in fact we need your involvement in many areas so as to enhance our programmes and activities to the fullest. We need volunteer helpers on a casual basis as well as on a timetable basis. If you can assist us in any way please contact the Principal or your child's teacher for more
details on our requirements.
Detention:
Children are not kept in after school unless
you have been notified by letter beforehand.
The school day ends at 2:45 pm and all
children are expected to be out of the
playground by 3:00 pm.
Bicycles:
Only children in Year 5 to 8 who live a lengthy distance from the school and who have their parents consent may ride their bikes to school. A note must be sent to the Principal if you wish your child to ride to school.
A SAFETY HELMET IS COMPULSORY!
Bikes must have the following:
* cable or rear brakes
* red reflector or red reflecting tape
* firm tyres
* firm chain
Parents must be aware that we will take all care but will accept no responsibility for any damage to bicycles at school.
They should be locked into the bike stand.
Valuables:
Toys, jewellery, radios etc. are not to be brought to school as teachers cannot accept responsibility for the safety of such articles.
A watch is acceptable and studs only if your child has pierced ears. (This is a safety precaution).
No other visible body piercings or tattoos.
