Expectations

EXPECTATIONS

As your child joins our school community, the following are the expectations we have for the students at Finlayson Park School.

We believe that students have the right to feel happy and secure in our school.

Students have the right to have teachers providing the best education possible.

Teachers have the right to expect and obtain high standards of behaviour.

Teachers and students have the right to be supported by peers, parents, staff and the Board of Trustees.


Sending students to Finlayson Park is a partnership between home and school to provide a quality learning environment, to challenge students to become life-long learners.

This means that the following behaviours are not acceptable at Finlayson Park School:

Bullying - verbal, written or physical

Theft

Vandalism - destroying property, graffiti

Littering - no chewing gum

Fighting / harrassment

Truancy

Sexual Harrassment

Swearing

Smoking (substance abuse)
